Difference Between Earning Money and Making Money

Earning Money

Generally, earning money refers to earning money by exchanging your time & skills for money.

You earn money by utilizing and spending your time for cash payments, or a paycheck, like doing a 9 to 5 job, mowing the lawn, dog walking, building a website for someone, or consultancy work, etc.

Earning money has to do with working for someone else – typically for a business owner, employer, or client for a steady paycheck.

It is more of an Active Income activity, where you have to be actively involved in the task of making cash.

Most of the time, you don’t even need any prior investment to do this.

Here are 10 ways one can earn money online without any initial investment:

Making Money

Making money has to do with you using your time to create a product or service that continues to make money for you.

Instead of you running for the money, the money will run/work for you so that you don’t have to do it yourself.

Just use your leverage & make your money work for you.

It’s different than exchanging your time for money. You’re not limited to how many tasks you can create or how many products you can make or how much money you can make.

Also, it doesn’t require you to do a lot of “active” work to continue making it. In essence, you can hire other people to do it for you to earn an income.

You make money by fulfilling the demand for people’s needs. For exampleyou can write a book or create an online course that can be sold to people many times over and over.

And you just need to update its content to keep the money flowing. You’ll have to spend more time and money on marketing and selling the products but, again, you don’t have to do it yourself. Once this product or service picks up, it can/will make you money indefinitely.

It is a Passive Income activity, where you don’t have to be actively involved in the task of making cash.

Generally, you might need a few prior investments to do this.
